Fun baby projects....

Nope, not for us!  :)

Many of our friends are pregnant or having babies...fun times to celebrate and cure any baby fever we have at the moment.  A sweet couple we know is expecting their first at the end of next month and Saturday was her baby shower.  Because I have been sick (ugh...may have been the most horrific head cold I have ever had...), I missed celebrating but was still able to take part in helping decorate.  Ideas and instructions are below for those who have expectant friends and are looking for a creative way to bless them!

Baby Sock Cupcakes...cute for table decorations if hosting.

**Don't spend $5 on a foam wreath.  A wire hanger will work just as well and provide a hanger!

Shermageddon...

Well, some big changes are definitely being made in the Fust family for the next few weeks (maybe, hopefully not months...)!  Friday afternoon, Indiana and Kentucky officials closed one of the three bridges that cross from Kentucky to Indiana due to structural defects found during an inspection of the bridge.  While this isn't the bridge Patrick and I cross, the 80,000 people who did use this bridge have been rerouted to ours, causing horrendous traffic conditions during morning and afternoon rush hour.  The traffic has literally been backed up 10 miles north of the Kennedy bridge and has created 2 hour+ morning commutes for many...Our strategy to this point has been to get up early (4.45 early) and get across before the chaos really begins.  Thankfully, this has kept us out of the gridlock that many have experienced but beginning days at 5 has certainly been difficult!  :)  But we're limiting our complaints because there are so many who have it much worse.  We're hoping the damage isn't severe and that repairs can be made soon.  Until then, it looks like 'shermageddon'* is going to rule Louisville's mornings and afternoons!

*Termed as such because the bridge that was shut down was called the Sherman Minton Bridge...hence 'shermageddon.'
Some Indiana man has gotten creative and is looking for a money making opportunity...he's created bumper stickers, hats, shirts, and mugs...too funny.

And this is what traffic now looks like at 5.30 am--bumper to bumper, stop and go...
In everything give thanks.  :)
