Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Psalm 111.2

And what wonders we have seen!  :)  Our garden has done so well this year (in spite of the near drought conditions...).  We have a water spigot in the front of our house (where there is no garden) and do not have a spigot in the back.  Not sure what that architect was thinking, but this summer my sweet husband has made many trips to and from the kitchen watering.  :)  Last week we simplified things by buying a water hose and an adapter that hooks the water hose to our sink---much more efficient.  We're already enjoying tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers...we have high hopes that our cucumbers will produce enough for us to start our 21 day sweet pickles soon.  As you can see in the pictures below, the cucumber vines have pretty much overrun the better half of our garden!  For the second year in a row, our squash haven't done well...not sure if that's temperature or soil related.  The plants look lovely and are full of blooms, but no squash!  There's always next year...!  On the other hand, the marigolds have thrived in this clay packed soil...pleasant surprise for us and a lovely burst of color for our sweet, small garden!
